Lenders pay Loans Regina; you never do. A licensed lender pays a referral fee only when a loan funds, the fee never changes your rate, we do not rank lenders by what they pay and we never see the lender's decision. This page sets those mechanics against the Saskatchewan cost cap and the installment range.
When a fee is paid
A licensed lender pays us a referral fee at one moment only: when it funds a loan for a person who reached it through this site. A declined application earns nothing, an unfinished application earns nothing, and a loan cancelled by the end of the next business day under Saskatchewan's cancellation right earns nothing either. On the lender's side the fee is a marketing cost, the same budget line as a bus shelter ad on Albert Street.
Your cost does not move
The borrower never pays us, and the fee never changes the rate or the cost of the loan. A payday lender in Saskatchewan sets its cost at or below the cap of $14 per $100 under The Payday Loans Act and The Payday Loans Regulations, so a $300 loan costs $42 and $342 comes out of your account on your next pay date. That price is the same if you found the lender here, in a search result or from a coworker in a break room at the General.
An installment lender quotes its APR in the 18% to 35% range, under the federal ceiling in section 347 of the Criminal Code, on the same basis. We take no share of any repayment.

We do not rank lenders by fee
No lender pays for placement, ranking or a mention on this site, and none is named on it. The matching service, not this site, decides which lenders see an application, and it matches on province, employment income and chequing account rather than on what a lender pays. We publish no lender reviews, keep no list of favourites and steer no reader toward one company over another.
We never see the decision
We never see your application, your bank connection, your credit file, the lender's decision or the terms you sign. The only thing that comes back to this site is a notice that a loan funded and the fee owed, with no name attached. We do not know which lender approved you or what it offered. The how it works page shows what the matching service asks once you leave this domain.

Licensed lenders only
Every payday lender that funds a loan through the matching service must hold a licence from the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan, Consumer Credit Division, for each location it lends from, online lenders included. The licence is not an endorsement by the regulator or by us, and the fee has nothing to do with it. You can confirm a lender's licence with the FCAA before you sign.
Not a lender, not a broker
Receiving a referral fee does not make Loans Regina a lender, a loan broker or an adviser, and the site holds no licence under The Payday Loans Act because it does not lend and does not arrange loans on anyone's behalf. We publish pages and one apply button; the matching service and the lender do everything after the click. The about page explains who runs the site, the privacy page describes the site code the button carries, and the terms of use set the rules of the relationship.
